Questions?

Sample of a Parking Infraction Notice (PIN).

Option 1 - Early payment

The City must receive payment within 15 days of the date of issue of the Parking Infraction Notice (PIN). This option does not apply to the following two infractions:

  • park in a designated fire route
  • park in a space reserved for physically disabled without a permit

The Federal Contraventions Act does not allow the City of Ottawa to offer early payment on Federal tickets.

Option 2 - Set Fine payment

The Set Fine is in effect immediately, unless an Early Payment amount is shown on the parking ticket. If an Early Payment amount appears on the ticket, then the Set Fine is in effect after the Due Date (see Option 1 above).
