The Comprehensive Zoning By-law, approved June 25, 2008 by City Council, is a set of regulations to control development in the City of Ottawa, and replaces the 36 existing zoning by-laws carried over from the 11 former local municipalities amalgamated in 2001. Zoning by-laws are enabled by the Ontario Planning Act, R.S.O.1990 (Section 34) to regulate the use of land and the location of buildings and structures.
This section provides a listing of those sections of the by-law that are applicable to the Rural and Greenbelt areas. As a result, the section numbering may appear to be incomplete as other sections have been intentionally omitted
