Starting April 6, City of Ottawa residents will have their green bins and leaf and yard waste collected every week. Organic food scraps, soiled paper products and other allowable waste from residential homes can now be placed at the curb for weekly collection. Please refer to your 2009-2011 Collection Calendar for exact dates.

Green Bin program

The Green Bin program is part of the City of Ottawa’s long-term plan for solid waste management. Today, City recycling programs help to divert a third of all residential waste from landfill. With your help we will be feeding the land and not the landfill.
